We have constructed an eight storied commercial building adjacent to the existing Hotel building, out of which, four floors has already rented out to M/s Mahaleksmi textiles and a portion of the ground floor to M/s Josco Jewellers. The remaining floors are converted to Hotel guest rooms and we have come out with a new concept of service/ studio apartments. Upon completion we will altogether have 36 guest rooms and 14 studio apartments. We have renovated the existing hotel and it’s almost complete, just the final finish required. Tiruvalla situated on the western side of the district. Its name is derived from famous “Sri Vallabha” Temple. This small town is very peaceful and accommodates all sections of the society. It has off late become the dream destination of Non Resident Indians (NRI’s) as many tend to settle down here in very posh bungalows. The population is predominantly high net worth educated and sophisticated NRI’s. Here there are branches of almost all leading banks in India. The deposits in these banks said to cross over Rs. 20000 million, which may as well be the highest among any city in Kerala. Over 80% constitutes funds from abroad. NRI’s from United States visit Kerala during December every year and from other parts of the world during July- August. At these times we see the hotels in the town having 100% occupancy.
There are over a dozen Educational Institutions in Tiruvalla. The standard of education in these educational institutions is very high. It includes Medical College, Dental College, Postgraduate colleges, Arts and Science College and various schools in ICSE, CBSE and Kerala Syllabus. The literacy rate is over 90% in Tiruvalla and is also one of the highest in India. There are very good hospitals in the town. It is more than sufficient to cater to the medical requirement of the population of Central Travancore.
Of late Tiruvalla has acquired great importance as the best and sought after shopping hub of Central Travancore. The presence of Alukkas Wedding centre (for Jewellery and Clothes), Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Kalyan Silks, Rajan Jewellery and Vijayalekshmi Silks, Sky Jewellery, Karikkineth Textiles and Mahalekshmi Silks makes Tiruvalla simply the best shopping destination in Central Kerala. Tiruvalla alone has over 1500 people are employed in Textile show rooms. The latest project in Tiruvalla is the 18 crores KSRTC bus station with a multi storey commercial complex and a multiplex. This reveals the importance of a standard hotel with all the amenities including bar and restaurant and of course a place to stay for overnight tourists and other guests. The presence of Pizza 10, Chikkoos Chicken, Baskin Robbins, Crunchy Chicken, ChicKing, all national and International brands make this small town a good place to eat out for families especially in the evenings. Super markets like MORE, Spensors are already attracting thousands of customers every day. Tiruvalla is a good market for cars and bikes and most of the leading dealers have show rooms in the town. Tiruvalla may be the smallest city housing the maximum number flats which include Skyline, International Real Trust, Infotech, AVS, BTech and much more. Upper Kuttnad and the boat races viz. Neerattupuram and Champakulam are in the vicinity. Tiruvalla has the only railway Station in Pathanamthitta District. State highway SH1 starts from Tiruvalla to Kumbazha. As any place in Kerala, Tiruvalla is the nerve centre of tourist paradise and hence is visited every year by millions of people. Hence making a Hotel with all the facilities a sure shot recipe for success.
The Management of the hotel expansion project vests with the Proprietor Mr. Joseph Kuriakose. He is a well experienced Businessman who had successfully undertaken various projects. The construction which is nearing its completion is being undertaken by professionally qualified persons under the direct supervision of the Proprietor. Mr. Joe Joseph Kuriakose son of Mr. Joseph Kuriakose is a professional in the hospitality industry. He graduated from the Cesar Ritz College, Switzerland, with his Masters in Business Management specializing in hospitality management. He joined the business in the December of 2012. His involvement in the management of the project can take the business to a much greater height success through his international exposure and professional approach.
We hope to emerge the experience of the Proprietor and the zest and zeal of the new generation in the form of Joe Joseph Kuriakose. We believe this combination of experience and youthful vigor will guide us to a bright and successful tomorrow. On June 2015, we entered into a partnership with Mr. KG Abraham (CEO of KGA group, Kuwait), a well-known businessman worldwide. Mr. KG Abraham is a partner and managing director of NBTC group, which is the biggest construction group in Kuwait which has gained a reputation for quality and reliability and the success story, is being carried forward to the neighboring Middle East countries as well. In Kerala, he is the chairman of Crowne Plaza, Kochi which is a 5 star category hotel with the best hospitality service provided. Mr. KG Abraham has invested in many other projects in Kerala and he is a man with extraordinary vision who always gives at most consideration for his employees at all levels. We have formed a company and the new name is Hotel KGA Elite Continental. The entire hotel was given a new look and we are happy to announce that we have received 4 star classification from the tourism board of India. With the partnership in place we have the expertise of Crowne Plaza to assist us and provide us with necessary training for our staffs. Our vision is to be the best at what we do and guest satisfactory is our primary aim.
The Hotel was started by the proprietor Mr. Joseph Kuriakose in the year 1983. Since then the Hotel has garnered a good place in the people’s hearts and generated a steady goodwill for the Organization. Hotel Elite Continental is an integral part of Tiruvalla and stands as a testimony for the changing face of Tiruvalla. We would like to introduce my company, Hotel Elite Continental that has been in the hospitality business for the past 31 years.
